WALLINGFORD, CT and BUFFALO, NY, March 24, 2006 – Continuing its expansion, Kamco Supply Corp. of New England has purchased Commercial Interior Supply, Inc., with locations in Buffalo and Rochester, NY. This transition will be effective April 1, 2006. The announcement was made jointly by Bud Bradley, President of Commercial Interior Supply and Jay Sheehy, President of Kamco New England.
Kamco New England has served professional builders and contractors in Connecticut, Rhode Island, upstate New York and western Massachusetts since 1979. The addition of the Buffalo and Rochester locations brings to ten the number of Kamco New England branches serving these areas.
Commercial Interior Supply has served professional builders and contractors in western New York for over 35 years. “We have strived to deliver outstanding products and service and we know that this tradition will continue as we become part of Kamco Supply Corp. of New England.” said Bradley. “This service oriented business approach by our trained professional staff mirrors that of Kamco…it’s a perfect fit!”
“Expansion into the Buffalo and Rochester markets is consistent with our strategic plan for growth.” said Kamco New England President Jay Sheehy. “These two additional locations will allow us an opportunity to expand the Kamco product offering to Commercial Interior Supply customers,” Sheehy said. According to Sheehy: “Our growth continues as a result of taking care of the customer, by BUILDING THE FUTURE - TOGETHER.”
The entry into the Buffalo and Rochester markets follows the opening of Kamco’s Glens Falls, NY branch on March 1 of this year.
Kamco Supply Corp. of New England is a distributor of building materials, including lumber, insulation, steel studs, acoustical products, drywall and doors. Its clientele include professional builders and contractors throughout Connecticut, Rhode Island, upstate New York and western Massachusetts. With eight branches in East Hartford, Danbury, Orange and Wallingford, Conn., West Kingston and Cranston, R.I. Glens Falls and Albany, N.Y., Kamco Supply Corp. of New England services three main customer bases - residential home builders, commercial drywall and acoustical professionals, and institutional/municipal accounts.
